Our final outing of the year was played at Malahide Golf Club on October 6th.  This is our combined RIALPA outing with the retirees playing for the Capt. Frank Thompson Trophy (a.k.a. Thumpers Jug) and all Red Barons competing for the Capt. Dinny McCloone Trophy.

 

Thankfully I am glad to report more normal Red Barons weather returned for this outing, with calm sunny conditions prevailing.  We had 28 golfers take part including 13 RIALPA members with 21 remaining for dinner.

 

Congratulations to all prize winners and especially to retired Capt. Crux McCarthy who won both competitions, the Red Barons outing and the RIALPA tournament, claiming the Capt. Frank Thompson memorial trophy and the Capt. Dinny McCloone trophy.
